Dr. James L. Lee graduated as a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Toronto, in June 1971, and performed his rotating internship at Scarborough General Hospital from 1971-72.

Dr. Lee resided within a family practice for three years in the mining community of Levack, Ontario near Sudbury from 1972-1975. He also performed his residency in urology at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario from 1975-1979.

After his training in urology Dr. Lee began practicing at McKellar Hospital in Thunder Bay, Ontario from Jan-Sept. 1980. In September 1980 he began practicing urology in St. Catharines, Ontario. Dr. Lee also has a special interest in carcinoma of the prostate, percutaneous and endoscopic surgery.

The following are among the many accomplishments Dr. Lee has received over his career in urology:
  • Graduate of Faculty of Medicine, at the University of Toronto- 1971
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada in Urology- 1979
  • Diplomat of the American Board of Urology- 1982.
  • Chief of Staff at the Hotel Dieu Hospital in St.Catharines, Ontario- 1988 to 1992.
  • Chief of Urology at the Hotel Dieu Hospital- 1993 to 2004.
Dr. Lee has three boys, now grown, with his wife Karen. His hobbies include fly-tying and fishing and recreational boating.
