 Dr. Ian Brown MD FRCS(C) earned both a Bachelors of Science and a Doctor of Medicine from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He completed his Residency of Urology at the University of Ottawa in Ottawa, Ontario. Dr. Brown is the Medical President of Niagara HIFU, as well as an urologist with a thriving private practice in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. He is a certified member in good standing of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and his urology interests include the surgical treatment of urologic cancer, including minimally invasive therapies and laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Brown’s professional activities include, the Chief of the Division of Urology at the Niagara Health System, Niagara Health System Steering Committee on Surgical Oncology, and undergraduate medical student clinical teaching. He is also active as a speaker for the Continuing Medical Education of primary care physicians. Dr. Brown is also very active within his community. His community activities include chairing a major $3 million dollar fund raising campaign for a local community center to promote citizen's health and a position on the local fund raising committee of the new Niagara Cancer Treatment Center. Dr. Brown’s professional memberships include both the Canadian and American Urologic Associations.
